Summary: We collect minimal data needed to provide our service. We don't sell your data. Your coin images and grades are yours.

Account Information

When you sign up via Google OAuth, we receive:

  • Your email address
  • Your name (as set in Google)
  • Your profile picture URL
Usage Information

We collect data about how you use CoinGrader:

  • Coin images you upload for grading
  • Grading results and collection data
  • Feature usage and preferences
  • Device type and browser information
Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. We receive a token and the last 4 digits for your reference.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide our service: Process your coin images, deliver grades and valuations
  • Improve the service: Analyze usage patterns to enhance accuracy and features
  • Communicate: Send service updates, respond to support requests
  • Prevent abuse: Detect and prevent fraud or misuse

3. AI Training and Your Data

Important: Your coin images may be used to improve our AI models. However, images used for training are anonymized and cannot be traced back to you. If you prefer your images not be used for training, contact us to opt out.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Service providers: Cloud hosting (Azure), payment processing (Stripe), analytics
  • Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures:

  • All data transmitted via HTTPS/TLS encryption
  • Secure cloud infrastructure with access controls
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • Employee access limited to need-to-know basis

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your data
  • Delete: Request deletion of your account and data
  • Export: Download your collection data
  • Correct: Update inaccurate information
  • Opt out: Decline AI training use of your images

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data and collection while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, though anonymized data may be retained for analytics and AI improvement.

We use essential cookies for:

  • Authentication (keeping you logged in)
  • Security (CSRF protection)
  • Preferences (your settings)

We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie data.

9. Children's Privacy

CoinGrader is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we learn we have, we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
